How Do I Transfer My Real Estate License in California?

Learn the Steps to Successfully Transfer Your License to Radius

In California, agents must initiate the license transfer process and your new Managing Broker at Radius will accept the transfer request. Once your license has been transferred successfully, you'll then want to inform your MLS/Association that you've switched brokerages. This article will walk you through the license transfer process and the steps you'll take to inform your MLS/Association that you've switched brokerages.

  • How to Transfer Your License to Radius
    • Log into the eLicensing portal on the DRE website
    • Under License Options select view/update brokerage affiliation and enter the license number 02051216 when prompted.
    • The system will ask you if your new broker is available now. Select No.
    • Enter the email address broker@radiusagent.com when prompted.
    • Once the steps above are completed, your Managing Broker at Radius will be notified via email and will "accept" the transfer.
    • After your Managing Broker at Radius has accepted the transfer, you will get an email from dre_services@dre.ca.gov confirming the acceptance and transfer of your license to Radius.
  • Notifying Your MLS/Association That You've Changed Brokerages
    • You must contact your local MLS/Association and notify them that you have changed brokerages.
      • Each local MLS/Association has their own internal transfer form, usually available online.
      • Log into your local MLS/Association website to download the form and fill out your information as well as the following broker information (if applicable):
Office Name Radius Agent
